Walter's Lake of Romance is a short, silent, romantic, comedy film by Dean Attari. Walter, from Walter’s Bad Day, Good Morning Walter, Walter's Internal Battle and Walter, Jenny and the Christmas Carolers waits and prepares for his first in-person date by a lake with a woman he has met online leading to a number of events which strangely ends each time with him in the lake.

Synopsis

On a sunny and cloudy day, Walter, a laborer in his mid-30s, arrives at a lake for his first in-person date with Alice, a woman he met online. While he waits and prepares for her arrival, he goes through a number of events where he goes into a state of deep thinking causing him to awaken knee-deep in the water. For example, he hallucinates dancing with Alice and their dancing takes them straight into the water causing Walter to awaken alone in the water after the lifeguard blows his whistle. Next, when trying to calmly wait for Alice at the table he sets up for them, he suddenly finds himself in the lake again drinking its water thinking it was drinkable water from his pitcher. Will Walter ruin his date by ending up in the water again when Alice arrives?
