Walter's Internal Battle (2022)

Walter's Internal Battle is a short, silent, Covid-19 themed, psychological, comedy film by Dean Attari. Walter, from Walter’s Bad Day and Good Morning Walter, develops an anxiety problem where he fears spreading germs by not being sure about his hand-washing, but, from this problem, he learns a fact about life.

Synopsis

With the Covid-19 pandemic forcing people to live life in a way that demands extra caution for germs, Walter, a laborer in his mid-30s, arrives home from doing his errands and removes his mask. Since he was out, he could not use his hands to open his bathroom door to go in and wash his hands, so he tries to turn the door knob with his arms and elbows. He develops a fear of touching dirty objects after washing his hands all over again due to scratching his nose thinking germs from sneezing are still on it and after picking up a fork he dropped on his kitchen floor, despite picking it up with some napkin. One day, he believes he can bypass washing his hands by using hand sanitizer, but not after recalling that it is hazardous for one to consume that product. Nonetheless, Walter learns a fact about life from this problem.
